Take a look at our week!　4月最終週の様子をのぞいて見ましょう！

We completed first two weeks before break as new comer students of Horizon. During this time, we have been getting to know each other and classroom/school expectations. This two introduction weeks helped students to adapt both school and new friends. Children learned definitions of school, classroom, teacher and etc. they could  have idea of enjoy during learning. During the rest of the year, they learn the fundamentals of the education.

We are Learning…

ホライゾン学園に入園して連休前の最初の２週間が終わりました。この２週間、お互いを知り、学校での過ごし方やお約束などを学んできました。この期間で子供たちが学校生活と新しいお友達に親しむことができるようになりました。学校は、また教室はどのようなところなのか、また先生にはどのように接したら良いか、またそれと同時に楽しみながら学ぶということも学んできました。そしてこれからの１年間は教育の基本を続けて学んでいきます。具体的には以下のような内容を学んでいます。

Classroom rules and Routines:　教室内でのルールとお約束：

1. Listen when the Teacher is Talking

　先生が話しているときには静かに聞く

2. Follow Directions Quickly

　　先生の言うことにはすぐに従う

3. Respect others. Respect yourself. Respect your school

他の人を敬い、自分を敬い、学校を敬う

4. Raise your hand to speak

発言したいときには手をあげる

5. Be safe. Be kind. Be honest.
安全第一、優しさ第一、正直第一

 We celebrated Kanoko's 3rd birthday.

Recess　休み時間

We played outside and enjoyed sunny weather.

Japanese　日本語・日本文化のクラス

We decorated display of our classroom with them.

In Inquiry　テーマ別学習の時間

Our first Unit of Inquiry will be Who We Are. We will learn about ourselves, family and  how we use our senses to connect to the world around us through weekly explorations.

最初のテーマ別学習の時間では「自分たちについて」というテーマで学んでいきます。

週替わりで自分自身について、家族について、また自分たちがどのように五感を使って身の回りの世界と

繋がっているかについて学んでいきます。

In Language Exploration　言語学習の時間

We will start focusing on letter of the week. We are going to learn words, how to write letters and their sounds. First letter will be Aa.

GW明けに「今週のアルファベット」をスタートしていきます。文字の書き方、

発音の仕方や単語を学んでいきます。

In Math　数字の時間

We will focus numbers from 1 to 10 as number of the week and colors.

１から１０までの数字を扱い、「今週の数字と色」も学んでいきます。

Welcome to our Preschool 3 Class Blog for the 2017-2018 school year! Please follow this blog to know what we are learning each day. I will post weekly about our class activities and keep you informed about upcoming events and important notices.　

２０１７年度のプリスクール３クラスのブログにようこそ！お子様方が毎日どんな学びをしているのかこのブログを通してご紹介していきます。クラスでの活動の様子に関するご報告はもちろんのこと、今後の行事予定や重要なお知らせなども投稿して参りますので、どうぞよろしくお願いいたします。

We completed our first two weeks with freshest students of Horizon Preschool 3, day by day I can see that they are adjusting to new school environment and learning new things. I am excited to see their development through the year.

学校生活を初めて送るという生徒さんたちと共に最初の２週間を過ごしてまいりましたが、その中で日々少しずつ学校生活にに慣れ、新しいことを覚えていく姿が見受けられました。これからの１年のお子様お一人お一人の成長を心から楽しみにしております。

Lets take a look at our week.

以下これまでの活動のご報告です。

  Morning Meeting 朝の集まり

Morning Meeting is an engaging way to start each day, build a strong sense of community, and set children up for success socially and academically. Each morning, students and teachers gather together in a circle for twenty to thirty minutes and interact with one another during four purposeful components:

1. Greeting: Students and teachers greet one other by name and practice offering hospitality.
2. Group Activity: Everyone participates in a brief, lively activity that fosters group cohesion and helps students practice social and academic skills (for example, reciting a poem, dancing, singing, or playing a game that reinforces social or academic skills).

毎日の学校生活は朝の集まりから始まります。朝の集まりにはクラスのお友達との一体感を強め、周囲との関わり方や学ぶ姿勢を確認する場でもあります。毎朝約２０～３０分程度の時間を取ってお友達や先生と輪になって座り、以下のような目的に沿って互いに交流の時間を持ちます。

１．あいさつ：生徒と先生が名前を呼び合ってお互いを受け入れあう雰囲気作りを実践しています。

２．グループ活動：クラスが一体となり、お友達との関わり方や学ぶ姿勢を身に着けるために短い活動の時間を持ちます。（例として詩を朗読したり、踊りをしたり、歌を歌ったり、人との関わり方や学習の姿勢が身につくゲームをしたりします。）
