Field Trip:
遠足

On Thursday, September 14th, we went to Manyokurieto Park for a field trip with our ELC friends and parent volunteers. The weather was shiny and the children enjoyed the day with playing and exploring the park. Activity of the day was sliding down the giant artificial grass slide. Also children enjoyed exploring the park, they collected acorn during pond visit. They sang songs and rolled over the grasses. It had a great experience for autumn coming. We ate lunch with everybody and children continue to play at roller slide. We have a special thanks to our volunteer parents, they helped us along the day, we had an enjoyable day, thanks them so much.
９月１４日（木）に全園児と保護者のボランティアの方々と共に万葉クリエートパークに出かけて来ました。天候にも恵まれ、広い公園内を探索したり大いに遊んで充実した１日を過ごしました。子供たちは人工芝でできた巨大な滑り台で楽しいひと時を過ごし、池の周りでどんぐりを集めたり、歌を歌いながら芝生の上でゴロゴロと転がって遊んだりしていました。秋の訪れを肌で感じる良い機会となりました。昼食後は巨大なローラー式の滑り台で遊び楽しい午後のひと時を過ごしました。遠足で子供たちに付き添って下さったボランティアの保護者の皆さまに今一度心より感謝申し上げます。皆さまのご協力のおかげで楽しい遠足となりました。本当にありがとうございました。

Sports day preparations are ongoing with great effort in our class. Children use their all power for the day and we prepare various activities.  We expect your help for this event which will be a first sports day experience for Preschool 3. Please have conversation with your children and encourage them. We are looking forward to see everybody on the field. 
現在、子供たちは毎日一生懸命持てる力を注いで運動会の練習に励んでいます。今回は子供たちにとって初めての運動会となります。どうぞご家庭においても運動会についてお話頂き、お子様方を励まして頂けましたら幸いです。ご家族の皆さまに当日お会いできますことを楽し身にしております。

As you may know some students have elder siblings in school, we arranged teams to let siblings compete together. We will share team rosters at below and if you will have any concerns, please contact with us. 
既にご存知の方もいらっしゃることと思いますが、クラスを赤白２つの組に分ける際に校内に兄弟がいる生徒さんについてはご兄弟と同じ組となり、ご家族が同じ組を応援していただけるようにさせていただきました。

This week We celebreted Kanato and Hayuko 4th birthday in our classroom.
Happy Birthday Kanato and Hayuko.
今週はお教室で奏音くんと羽結子ちゃんの４歳のお誕生日のお祝いをしました。
お誕生日おめでとう！

Language Exploration:
言語学習の時間

• We learned uppercase and lowercase Jj and sound.　大文字と小文字のJと発音を学びました。　

• We practiced letter Jj writing.　大文字と小文字のJの書き方を学びました。

• We read letter Jj book together and we did coloring inside the book.　Jの文字に関する本を読み、色塗りをしました。

• Children made Jj is for Jellyfish craft with paper bowl and paper tape. We decorated our class with them. They all seem wonderful. 子供たちはJから始まるJelly fish(クラゲ）の工作をしました。紙皿と紙テープを使って装飾をしました。皆素晴らしい出来でした。
• Jj vocabulary: jellyfish,jam,juice,jeep,jacket,jelly,jungle,January,June and July. アルファベットJからはじまる単語を覚えました。

皆様、

Welcome back to school after summer vacation. After a long summer holiday, we had a smooth and awesome beginning of second term.  Preschool 3 students become grown and enthusiastic for coming to school. We started with two days in last week and this week our roster got completed. Sho joined our class and we aim to complete the year with 22 members.
夏休みが明けて待ちに待った新学期が始まりました。長いお休みの後でしたが、順調な２学期のスタートを切ることができました。プリスクール３クラスのお友達は皆それぞれ成長し、学校に戻ってくるのを楽しみにしてくれていました。先週の木曜と金曜の２日間に始まり、今週にはクラスの皆が揃うことができました。今学期から新しく渉くんを迎えて総勢２２名のメンバーで共に学んで参ります。

 This week, we started preparations of sports day which is in next month. We formed our red and white teams. Since this will be their first sports day experience, we did an orientation such as running, big ball rolling and group activity. Children will welcome you with another fabulous dance performance after gummy bear, we already decided the song.  We will practice all the games, which was only introduced this week, regularly in this month. 
今週は来月開催される運動会に向けての準備を始め、クラスのメンバーを赤組と白組に分けました。子供たちにとっては今回が初めての運動会となるため、短距離走や大玉転がしや集団行動の練習をしました。１学期には保護者の皆さまの前で「ガミー・ベアー」のダンスを披露しましたが、今回も新しい曲を決めてそれに合わせてた可愛らしいダンスで皆さまをお迎えする予定です。今後も定期的に、全ての種目の練習を行っていくつもりでおります。

Also this term, preschool 2 class joined our school with their teacher Ms. Bon and six students.  We will have PE lesson together. Preschool students consider themselves as seniors and act more responsible.
また今学期はプリ２クラス（満３歳児クラス）の６人の新入生のお友達と担任のミス・ボンを新たに学校に迎えました。今後体育の授業を合同で行っていく予定です。プリスクール３のお友達は年上のお兄さんお姉さんとしての自覚と責任を感じて良き模範として行動してくれています。

また今週子供たちは学校やクラスの規則、毎日の学校生活の流れを再確認する時を持ちました。新しい学習教材や玩具に触れる機会も持ちました。新学期最初の「今週のアルファベット」は「I」でした。

Our hands-on activity was hand print ice cream for wafer cone. They enjoyed to paint each others hands and stamp to paper.　制作の時間にはワッフルコーンの上に手形のスタンプを押してアイスクリームを作りました。

Next week, we will be focusing on "sharing the planet" topic in inquiry. Our subtopic will be "What living things need to grow". In language, our letter of the week will be letter Jj. We will start "Shapes" topic in Math class. Generally, we will continue sports day practices.
来週以降、テーマ別学習の時間には「シェアリング・ザ・プラネット（みんなの地球）」と題し、「地球上ではどのような生き物が育つのか」というテーマのもと学習を進めて参ります。言語学習の時間には次のアルファベット「J」の学習に入り、算数の時間には形状の学習をはじめていく予定です。それ以外の時間は運動会の練習が中心となります。

Important note: Next week's (September 14, Thursday) field trip will be held at Manyokurieto Park, please check the mail from office and remember snacks, lunch and water bottles of students. We hope to have an enjoyable and safe day. If you will have time, you may join us as volunteer.
