Week 5: Who We Are: Myself (Form and Change)

Preschoolers like infants and toddlers grow quickly both physically and cognitively. Physical development during the preschool period includes changes in the child's brain, gross and fine motor skills, and health.

On our second week - Who We Are Unit, we talked about "Form and Change related to Self." We've made comparisons for each children's photos and gathered all the changes among themselves.



Inquiry: 

We read a short story about the "Little Gorilla" and related the story to their growth and change. 

The students guessed the baby photos of their friends as I showed them one by one.
























































Looking at the three photos, we made a comparison and gathered all the students' ideas about the things a few months old, 1-year-old and 2-year-old child can do.



























We circled and cut the things that we can do. This week, we learnt new phrases. Yes, I can. No, I can't.
























Fire Drill: 

Last Tuesday, we had our fire drill.













Morning Circle: 











 







Math: 

In our Math lesson, we picked a number card, say its number and collected colorful chips using the tong according to the number we've picked and put inside the cup. We also traced numbers "0" and "1." 











































































Snack and free-play:






























Language: 

We learnt uppercase and lowercase letter Bb and its sound. We traced and colored as well. And we made an interesting B...us! It was fun to cut and stick the shapes on letter B.

Vocabulary words: backpack, balloon, banana, bed, book, and bus.

We did our usual warm-up stretching and went through our Floor Session Activity. This week, we learnt new things - "jump, skip, hop, and walk." We also did the "Monkey walk" and "Kangaroo jump."
