Purpose of Tools

Week 4: How the World Works: Purpose of Tools

Exposing preschoolers about basic tools teaches them how to handle those tools safely. Children can benefit from knowing about tool safety and may prevent some type of injury in the future.

There may be a time or two that they will come into contact with tools, and it is best they know how to be safe around tools.

Inquiry:

The earlier that children learn how to handle basic tools like the hammer, screwdriver, and wrench the better. Knowing how to use these tools early will arm them with the basic knowledge of these tools and the best safety practices associated with them.

It amazing to see how they were all excited and were amazed at how the tools work.

Working together is a success.

Time to fix the table and chairs.  Start them young.

They learned that people usually use tools to fix something or to assemble an item.
