Our Responsibility towards Living Things / Park Trip / Farewell Party - Kanoko

Week 13: Sharing the Planet: Our Responsibility towards Living Things

As young as age two, kids begin the process of learning to care for their own bodies and being responsible. At this time - being preschoolers, they are already capable of responsibilities, awareness, self-care and some household tasks when given age-appropriate opportunities to practice.

At this age, kids love being helpers and learning to do things on their own. Using practical life skills to encourage a young child's desire for independence will promote healthy development (order, concentration, self-control, coordination, independence) and foster a sense of responsibility at home, in childcare, or in the classroom.

During the week, we go over the basic things the living things need such as food, water, and shelter and discussed our responsibility towards living things.

Inquiry:

Talking about responsibility, we talked about one of the basic needs the animals need. So here are the kids building home for their pets or favorite animals.
